How to Apply

Welcome to Downtown Academy. We are committed to providing our children with an excellent education that develops them through wonderful instruction, small class sizes, and strong curricula to grow in knowledge, to develop in character, and to understand and fulfill their life purpose.

Admissions Criteria

The application will not be processed without all the required documents and items below. Copies may be made at the school office. Please note that submission of your child’s application does not guarantee acceptance to Downtown Academy. Children are admitted to Downtown Academy on an individual basis after careful review of all required criteria.

Enrolling new students in the upcoming school year requires all of the following:

Admissions Application

Re-Enrollment Application

We invite you to begin the admissions process by downloading and completing the Admissions Application and submitting it to the school office during operational hours. You may also pick up an application from the school office.

Application Review

Once the completed application is submitted to the front office, the Head of School will undergo a Review of the child’s application. A Review consists of examining all previous test scores, report cards, application, and transcript. Previous school’s and teacher’s recommendations are also considered but not required.

Child and Parent Interview

To complete the admissions process, a child and parent interview is conducted by a representative of the school administration. Interview appointments are scheduled through the school office following notification that the Review of your child’s application is complete.

Non-Discrimination Statement

Downtown Academy admits children of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship or loan programs, and other school-administrated programs.
